A unique and rare opportunity to acquire a historic racing Ecurie Canada Lotus 7 S2, 0373 with some interesting racing pedigree and patina. Race-prepared in the 60s and driven by Ex Cam Am driver Bob Roy, the car won the 1979 GT1 Championship in Montreal.
Fitted with a fully prepped dry-sump Lotus Twin Cam that has been recently refreshed, seriously modified and increased from its original 1558cc to 1800cc. A recent engine service has just been completed during which time new 40 DCOE Weber carburetors were fitted. 4 speed Ford transmission, uprated steering, Minilite rims, the list goes on & on. The chassis has been extensively modified and strengthened.
Originally supplied to a Montreal Lotus Dealer, 1963, the car left the UK Chestnut factory in polished aluminum with a red nose cone. As you will see from the VIN number it is the 202 second car made.
We are selling the car for its current owner who is a customer of ours. Clearly the car is in need of work, but as you are probably aware these cars are presently rocketing in value.
